Just sitting here. Thinking. I feel involuntarly annoyed with people. And I still need to do my Science Project. CRAAAP. But really I'm in a pretty good mood and all. It's Friday. Next week's gonna be sweet. And May is going to be craaazy. And I just killed a whole thing of ice cream. And I'm kinda tired.
Dude. I've been learning about the Holocaust, and I'll be going to that museum next week. It's seriously really depressing. And I'm reading Anne Frank right now. Well we watched a movie thingy in class about it, and talked about it a little...but I did some research on my own (nerd) and like...what made me the most upset about the whole thing is that some people were trying to say it never happened. I don't get the people that say it was a hoax. Like this one guy...I forgot his name but I know his last name is Butz, he wrote a book called "The Hoax of the 20th Century" (google it.) and it's a whole book that talks about the Holocaust being a hoax and that it never happened. I'm like...really?...REALLY THOUGH? Just imagine being someone who actually lived through it, probably lost all your family, witnessed terrible scenes, have the numbers tattooed on your arm to prove it, and just had absolutely terrifying and horrible experiences, like, for someone to come along and say that that never happened? That it was a HOAX? That must be extremely upsetting and frustrating. PLUS...wtf you can't just DENY history...it's history! It's. What. Happened. Endofstory. And in the movie I watched, this guy who lived through the Holocaust went back to the concentration camp in Auschwitz, and he like remembered where everything was, and where everything happened. And he talked about it...like the last time he saw his mom, sister, and aunt, and dad before they took them to the cremetory and stuff like that. Seriously that stuff is depressing. And it left me thinking.
Another random thought... I just wanted to say something for a sec about Gay Marriage. It's everyone's favorite topic to debate, right? Seriously. And we've been kinda talking about it a lot up innnn religion class, plus we watched an interestng movie/documentary thingy about gay marraige and the church. I knew some stuff and learned some stuff. Let me just say, the Bible is a really poor excuse to use if you're someone that disagrees with gay marraige for religious reasons. First of all God didn't write that...I hope you know. Plus if you're so sure God doesn't want gay marraige because that's what it says in the Bible...then you must follow everything the Bible says, right?..and let me tell you, the Bible says all KINDS of STUFF. And yes, that includes the whole a-man-will-not-lay-with-a-man-thing (Leviticus 16:22...I'm pretty sure that's the verse) BUT it also says a couple verses before that, that it's wrong to eat SHRIMP and if you do you're going to hell. Not to mention the Bible says it's okay to have slaves, and sell your daughter into slavery...and that people who work on the Sabbath (Sunday) should be put to death. The Bible isn't a book of facts, it's just to "inspire" (it doesn't really inspire me) But anyways. Yeah. Picking and choosing stuff out of the Bible like that just doesn't work. Just wanted to put that out there...something to think about.
(pronounced ONN DRAY UH) but most people just call me DREA. I have a lot of thoughts and sometimes I sound totally overly dramatic or random. let's just say this blog is the garden in which the seeds that are my thoughts are planted. hypothetically speaking, of course...
